Internet Viral Marketing Is Web Word Of Mouth Marketing

Internet viral marketing is essentially the web equivalent to a word of mouth marketing strategy. You write a report that is going to help or interest many people and because it's such valuable information you give it away for free.

It's free because you want people to pass it on. Remember that joke that your friend sent you and you passed it on to ten of your friends? Think about how that spreads – like a virus. It's the same principle.

So you write a report related to your business core competence. Let's say about how to clear your debt or maybe how to loose weight, something that folks get hung up about and you know will be useful to many. At the top of your report you place your website URL and then write some text similar to the following:-

“This free report comes with full distribution rights and you can pass this on to as anyone who you think will benefit. Give it to friends and family, post it on your blog or use in your e-zine provided you change none of the information.”

Then again on the first page of your report you write your web URL above the content.

If your content is good your report will spread like wildfire and with it so does your website address.

That's viral marketing, simple but effective.
