Chigwell Small Business Group is a non-profit organisation dedicated to small and medium sized companies, offering free networking events to businesses throughout the local area.

The Friday Network is a monthly free business networking event held on various Fridays with meetings across East Sussex, West Sussex and Hampshire. To find out when a meeting is happening in your area visit the website.
Free entry – no fees: just turn up, no need to pre book, no 'lock-outs'. Just bring plenty of business cards and promotional material...
The value of networking is now widely accepted. Most businesses realise that word-of-mouth recommendation is by far the best way to gain new business. If you are looking for new customers, new suppliers or merely want to meet and chat with other business people to share experiences, talk about your recent successes or discuss mutual problems, then bring some business cards and come along.
There is no prior booking, no registration, no fees and no pressure!
The First Friday Network was started by Steve Wilson, of Wilson Design Associates, in Chichester in March 2003 for those people who didn't want either an early morning breakfast or a weekly commitment.
The success of the format has captured the imagination of local small businesses and support organisations and several new groups have started over the last 12 months expanding the network to include:
- Haywards Heath
- Romsey, Hants
All the networks are aligned to each other but are run by local business people. Serving the business community by way of offering a venue to network, promote, share and exchange ideas.
If you are interested in starting a network group in your area give Steve a call - 01243 787100 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you want to improve the rate that your target market hears about you, boost your impact on them and maintain or increase your networking success rate I suggest you look at BRX in Hampshire.
BRX Hants is the Hampshire section of the national networking organisation BRX. So far there are two groups. One in Gosport which meets every Thursday at 7am in the Gosport Business Centre Aerodrome Rd and one in Portsmouth on a Wednesday morning, also from 7am at the Hilton Hotel Farlington.
There is a regular agenda each week and this consists of the opportunity for members to say who they are and what they do. Numbers are kept fairly low on purpose because this means that more time can be spent discussing individual needs and the means for the members to meet them. The consistent high number of referrals passed later indicate that this method works. Additional benefits for members include the opportunity to do longer presentations on their business, having their company and needs promoted consistently on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, being the subject of synergy support sessions, having the facility of extensive profiles promoted on Face book, LinkedIn and Twitter, having a full time worker promoting, publicising and working towards the growth of the groups (that's me). It is my aim to ensure that members get more in value for their membership than they pay for. If they don't they should tell me.
We don't expect you to come along and join the same day. That would be naive of us. Instead we offer you the opportunity to come along and try us out for a few weeks. A sort of suck it and see. The only thing which might prevent you from coming is our one seat per trade rule.
We only allow one person per trade so as to prevent conflict between members and to keep a balance. Wouldn't want a room full of accountants or graphic designers. I have nothing against them but it is unlikely to make for a very productive meeting.
To find out more you can go to our national website and also look us up on Twitter, Face book and LinkedIn under the name of BRX Hants. Alternatively you can also get in touch with me directly at Michael.email@example.com. I am the south coast Regional Partner and I look forward to hearing from you.
Counterpoint Networking is a local business networking group, located in Shepway, Kent, that meets once every month in the evening for sociable networking on an informal basis.
We work in conjunction with the local Aspinall Business Club whose aim is to foster and support local business relationships yet at the same time spreading the word about the Aspinall Foundation.
Counterpoint Networking firmly believe that "proper" networking is vital to the ongoing success and development of every business. In other words we actively encourage connecting with many people in the business world for the initial purpose of making more and more connections!
We hope that this list will continue to grow. If you're part of a London or South East networking group or indeed run one then we'd like to hear from you.
